OUR BELIEFS

2 Timothy 3:16-17

“All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

We believe the Bible is the inerrant, infallible Word of God. God’s Word is the only completely reliable and truthful authority and we consider the Bible as our manual for living. The Bible serves as God’s divine message to humanity. While penned by human hands, it was composed under the influence of the Holy Spirit. For Christians, it stands as the supreme guide to truth in both belief and daily life. We encourage daily Bible reading and Bible study.

GOD is eternally existing in three persons – God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. He created everything and wants to have an intimate relationship with everyone. The point of life is to be connected with God and with others.

JESUS is God revealing Himself to us, offering Himself for us, and redeeming us to Him. We believe Jesus was fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and resurrected after 3 days. He spent time on earth after His resurrection and revealed himself to his disciples and many people. He later ascended to Heaven and is seated at the right hand of God, making intercession for our sins.

THE HOLY SPIRIT is God supernaturally living in us – the Spirit of Truth. The Holy Spirit helps us to become the people God created us to be despite our tendency to live for ourselves.

 SALVATION

We believe that salvation is a gift from God made possible through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In Christianity, salvation refers to the process of being saved from sin and its consequences, which we believe separate us from God. We believe that salvation is a gift from God, made possible through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

SIN AND ABOMINATION: We believe that we are all created with a sin-willing nature that comes through our disobedience. But we also believe that the difference between both sin and abomination is to understand the creation of God and the choice to go against the intended plan and purpose of God’s creation.

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

Deuteronomy 22:5
The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.

FAITH AND REPENTANCE: Salvation is received through faith, which means trusting in Jesus and what He has done for us. This also involves repentance, a sincere turning away from sin and turning towards God.

GRACE, NOT WORKS: It’s important to understand that salvation is not something we can earn through good deeds; it is a gift of grace from God. We receive it when we believe in Jesus and accept Him as our Lord and Savior.

TRANSFORMATION AND NEW LIFE: When we accept salvation, we begin a process of spiritual transformation. We seek to live in accordance with God’s will, guided by the Holy Spirit, and we become part of God’s family, the church.

ETERNAL LIFE: Finally, we believe that salvation also includes the promise of eternal life with God. After our life on this Earth, we will be with Him forever in heaven.

HUMANKIND

Humans, crafted in God’s image, are created with divine characteristics. As the pinnacle of His creations, we believe that human life is sacred from conception to the grave. However, a rebellious disposition, termed “sin,” taints our nature, distancing us from God and, in turn, causes life’s tribulations.

SEXUALITY

The Scriptures clearly state that humans were designed as male and female and that marriage is a consecrated bond that is defined between a man and a woman. Intimacies outside of this sacred covenant are deemed inconsistent with the Bible. Although we do not promote lifestyles outside of this belief, we love all people and believe that all are welcome to come to God, just as we are.

ETERNITY

Our existence transcends our temporary existence on earth; we are destined for eternity. This eternal journey will either be in divine union with God through grace and salvation or will be in separation of God due to sin. Such estrangement is termed Hell, while divine communion signifies eternal life. Heaven and Hell are tangible realms of perpetual existence. We anticipate Christ’s imminent return, where He will mend all fractures.
